Geomancy

Let’s talk about this ancient funkypower called Geomancy.

First of all, you might have guessed it, but Taos is one of the most geomagnetically active places in North America.

It’s for this reason that I’m heading there for my retreat, Inner Treasure, September 25–28, 2025.

Before I tell you about Taos and its off the charts energy, let’s spend some time on what geomancy actually is.

An ancient science and form of divination, geomancy has had various applications over several millennia.

One of the oldest expressions is the casting of pebbles or sticks. After tossing the stones, a geomancer would infer information about the present moment—or the future—based on the geometric arrangement of the pieces.

Geomancy has also been used to extract subtle information from the land itself.

Depending on the arrangement of mountain ranges, peaks, valleys, rivers, mounds, forest formations, and so forth, a geomancer—working in what could be considered a predecessor to Feng Shui—would read the topographical energetics and advise on the ideal sites for castles, fortresses, treasuries, temples, and more.

They might also deduce matters of state, war, and peace based on these energetic maps.

Geomancy is also the art of interior arrangement—placement of objects, furniture, artwork, and elements—to optimize the energetics of a space. With a little training in this elevated form of spatial intelligence, one can amplify health, wellbeing, harmony, prosperity, love, and career flow.

One of my favorite applications of geomancy is the identification and healing use of what I call holographic geography.

Holographic geography refers to places where the Earth mirrors larger cosmic patterns. You can see it in the way sunflower seeds form fractal spirals, or the way a conch shell grows in a golden mean spire.

Landscapes that look like portals often are portals. Mountains shaped like aspects of the human anatomy often have the power to heal or amplify the energy of that region in the body.

This world is literally is pulsing with energy, information, dimensionality, and magic.

Such is the case with the Rio Grande, which—like a serpent—winds its way through Taos and the surrounding villages.

I first took the High Road to Taos on a road trip years ago. I remember cresting the mountain and seeing what looked like a wound in the Earth—the Rio Grande Gorge. It took my breath away.

Unlike many gorges shaped by water erosion over millennia, the Rio Grande lies along the Rio Grande Rift—a geological fault zone where the Earth’s crust began pulling apart some 30 million years ago.

This is not a canyon carved by a river. It is a continental tear. And the magnetics on either side—each pole of the gorge—are intensely charged. That charge makes the gorge a true healing node.

I return to Taos as often as I can—for the fresh organic food, the low-key vibe, the offbeat turquoise. But mostly for the land itself—for the hit of exquisite freshness that lives there.

When we apply the powerful patterns of geomancy to our own energy bodies, we activate and refine our internal sacred geometry.

When you are near something as raw, intact, majestic, and untouched as the Rio Grande, that lustrous, fierce, compassionate energy becomes a part of you.

And, if we really sync deep and relax into the process, the shift can be permanent.

This is why I’m heading to Taos.

The roles, identities, stress levels, and requirements of the modern woman are changing at light speed.

Women may want to and are certainly being tasked to run the free world, but at what cost?

Now, in times like these, it becomes more and more important to be at the nucleus of your own power and primordial femininity.

This is why places of power and moments of training are essential.

The land is calling. The work is precise. The space is limited. Join me.
